In this blog post I wanted
to talk about an assignment I got on school. The assignment was about summarizing
and then compere a novel that had a British author so I choose the novel
"For your best, son!" by Elizabeth George (some of you might say she
is an American but you are partly right and partly not). So that is what I am
going to talk about today in this blog. "For your best, son!" is
about a boy (Leo) that have to change from a state school to a public school I myself
go to a public school or as some people like to call it an Independent
school in oxford and it
isn’t that bad although they are a bit strict and have a lot of rules there,
back to the novel Leo isn’t happy about changing school and we can see that in
the first sentence of the novel, he want to stay with his friends in the state
school and says that he is to young. And i agree with the boy he is to young
and there is younger people in state school I learned that children can be put
in state school when they are 4 or 4.5 I personally think that putting you
child in school when they are four is too young, what do you think? The private
school (he is forced to go to) is also a very long way from his home and he is only
8 years old. Moving in to a public school was his father’s idea his father
thought partly that since he did go to Baverstcok (the public school) his son
should to, I say partly because it seems like that he went to this school isn’t
the only reason he want his son to go, it seems like he also wanted his son to
go to school just so he could be part of an upper class. While his wife thinks
that it’s nothing wrong with going through life with being just in the working
class while his father wanted him to be the best (the upper class). But in what cost? If he changes school he will lose his friends and he will maybe not get new ones. furthermore i think he should stay and not change school, but in the other side he is only a child and he will only go where his friend are. i
